2 ECTS

Basic Course
Elmer Basic course is intended for persons with no or little prior knowledge of Elmer but some background on the solution of partial differential equations. The emphasis on the course will be on the use of Elmer through its new graphical user interface, ElmerGUI. After the course the participants should be able to solve basic modeling problems themselves and have basic knowledge on the features of Elmer software.

Advanced Course
Elmer advanced course is intended for people who want to go beoynd the graphical user interface and know more about program architecture, parallel computation, basic programming, for example. It is assumed that the users have some background in Elmer and finite elements. Participation in the Elmer basic course the day before gives sufficient starting point for people with some background in numerical methods.

Lecturers: Mikko Lyly, Peter Råback, Thomas Zwinger

Registration for the course before Fri 9.10.2009 to jari.viik@tut.fi
